Lufthansa Group capacity could reach 70% of pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2021

Lufthansa Group head of sales Dr Stefan Kreuzpaintner reported a sharp increase in demand for holiday and leisure travel, with the group to operate around 45% of pre-COVID-19 capacity levels in Jul-2021 (merkur.de, 15-Jun-2021). Dr Kreuzpaintner forecast capacity levels could return to 70% of pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2021, provided progress with border restrictions and vaccination programmes continues.
