New Zealand formally approves use of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine

New Zealand's Government granted (10-Feb-2021) formal approval for the use of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in the country. COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins stated the government has secured up to 750,000 courses of the Pfizer vaccine through an advance purchase agreement, adding: "We are seeking a further small allocation through the COVAX Facility".
