Tourism Authority of Thailand director Nanthasiri Ronnasiri reported over 1300 international travellers arrived in Phuket under the quarantine free 'Sandbox' scheme between 01-Jul-2021 and 03-Jul-2021 (Bangkok Post, 04-Jul-2021). Thailand's government expects over 100,000 international visitors will travel to Phuket in 3Q2021 under the scheme, which launched on 01-Jul-2021.
