SAS to complete fleet transition to an all-Airbus fleet by 2025

30 September, 2020

SAS reported (30-Sep-2020) it aims to complete its fleet transition to an all-Airbus fleet by 2025, enabling emissions reductions and lower maintenance costs. The A320neo will form the "backbone" of the airline's short haul fleet, while A330s and A350s will be the "backbone" of its long haul fleet. A321LR aircraft will also provide a "complementary" long haul aircraft option. SAS also reported it is evaluating a replacement for its older Boeing 737 aircraft. [PR - restricted content]
