Tokyo to launch travel subsidy programme

Tokyo Metropolitan Government plans to launch its own travel subsidy programme, providing JPY5000 (USD47.7) per person for a one night stay costing JPY6000 (USD57.2) or more at hotels and inns in Tokyo, effective 23-Oct-2020 until the end of Mar-2021 or when the programme’s JPY2 billion (USD19.1 million) budget runs out (Jiji Press, 22-Oct-2020).
