Uruguay's Government scheduled to launch a tender for the modernisation and concession of Melo, Rivera and Salto airports effective Mar-2021 (BNamericas, 12-Jan-2021). The project seeks to enable the airports to handle international operations. Additional airports could still be added to the project, including either Colonia or Carmelo airports.
