12 February, 2021

US White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated: "No decisions have been made around additional public health measures that would change domestic travel" (Reuters, 11-Feb-2021). The White House reported it is "continuing to discuss recommendations across the travel space". As previously reported by CAPA, US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg reported the Biden administration is considering requiring negative COVID-19 test results for domestic air travel. Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian stated the proposal would be a "logistical nightmare" and "set us back another year in the recovery".
