Wizz Air to expand Cluj base with one additional A320 and three new services

Wizz Air announced (23-Oct-2020) plans to expand Romania operations with the addition of one new A320 to the Cluj base and the launch of the following services:

  • Cluj-Karlsruhe/Baden Baden: Three times weekly from 01-Jun-2021;
  • Cluj-Hamburg: Twice weekly from 02-Jun-2021;
  • Cluj-Cologne: Twice weekly from 04-Jun-2021;

The carrier also plans to increase the following frequencies:

  • Cluj-Eindhoven: From three to five times weekly;
  • Cluj-Barcelona: From five to seven times weekly;
  • Cluj-Brussels: From five to seven times weekly;
  • Cluj-Larnaca: From two to four times weekly;
  • Cluj-London Luton: From 14 to 18 times weekly;
  • Cluj-Madrid: From five to seven times weekly;
  • Cluj-Milan Bergamo: From five to seven times weekly;
  • Cluj-Paris Beauvais: From six to nine times weekly;
  • Cluj-Rome Ciampino: From three to five times weekly.

Wizz Air handled close to two million passengers to and from Cluj in 2019. With the inclusion of the new services, the carrier offers 34 routes to 13 countries from Cluj. [more - original PR]
