Work ongoing to resume Kabul international flights & FIR use 'soon'

Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA), via its official Facebook account, stated (07-Sep-2021) it completed reactivation of the Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport air traffic control tower, supporting aims to resume full use of Kabul's airspace "soon". Turkey and Qatar's Ministries of Foreign Affairs confirmed ongoing efforts to support resumption of international services from the airport, with Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stating a number of security requirements must be agreed with the Taliban before civilian operations can fully resume (AJOT/Reuters/Bloomberg, 06/07-Sep-2021).
