About Sawako Hidaka
Sawako became the Asia Society Japan Center’s Executive Director in 2018, having worked as a Business Consultant before.
Her strengths are providing solutions, implementing controls and negotiating with key stakeholders in multi-cultural and multi-national environments. She has strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills that were essential for implementing change and developing cross departmental/ regional partnerships. Sawako has a deep understanding of Asia’s travel industry with focus on safety and post 3-11 reporting requirements, gained in over 12 years of experience in developing and implementing global procurement solutions to aggressively manage corporate spend.
