Allegiant considered international service for years, focusing at present on domestic opportunities

Allegiant Air VP fleet planning and corporate finance Robert Neal, speaking on CAPA TV, said (Mar-2018) the carrier has considered about international operations "for years", noting domestic opportunities represent the "biggest thing" preventing Allegiant entering the international market. Eventually the carrier will operate international services, Mr Neal said, "probably" beginning with destinations in Mexico or in the Caribbean. He added: "And then hopefully someday, source traffic from smaller markets in Mexico or Canada, bringing passengers into leisure destinations in the US". [more - CAPA TV]
