Auckland International Airport launched (25-Jul-2019) the multi million dollar 'Northern Network' project to upgrade the main entrance way into the airport, as well as providing critical support for new public transport connections. One of eight key anchor projects planned for the airport over the next decade, 'Northern Network' will widen and add capacity to George Bolt Memorial Drive, as well as include new roads constructed around the core airport precinct. Construction firm Downer will delivery the project, with earthworks to begin in Aug-2019 and road improvements to be completed by mid 2021. [more - original PR]
