Brussels Airlines to add eight new destinations to summer 2022 network

Brussels Airlines announced (17-Jan-2022) it will operate to 85 destinations during the summer 2022 schedule, commencing 27-Mar-2022. The airline will add eight destinations to its summer network, Lanzarote, Chania, Hurghada, Mytilini, Samos, Marrakech, Rabat and Munich. The carrier's long haul offer will comprise 19 destinations, 17 in sub Saharan Africa and two in the US (New York and Washington). Its medium haul network will comprise 66 destinations, including the following highlights:

  • Greece: Athens, Heraklion, Cos, Rhodes, Corfu, Zakynthos;
  • Italy: Bari, Catania, Florence, Milan, Napoli, Olbia, Palermo and Rome;
  • Spain: Alicante, Madrid, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife and Gran Canaria;
  • Portugal: Lisbon;
  • Croatia: Dubrovnik and Split;
  • Russia: Moscow and Saint Petersburg;
  • Morocco: Tangier and Nador.

Brussels Airlines head of network and planning Jan Derycke stated "booking figures clearly show a great willingness to travel", adding, compared to summer 2021, passengers are starting "to book longer in advance again". [more - original PR]
