Congo Airways reportedly plans to commence Johannesburg service in 2018, followed by Abidjan, Addis Ababa, Bangui, Bujumbura, Cape Town, Cotonou, Dar Es Salaam, Douala, Harare, Luanda, Lusaka, Nairobi and Pointe Noire services by the end of 2019 (Jeune Afrique, 15-Jan-2018). The carrier intends to commence intercontinental services in 2020, potentially to Dubai, Guangzhou or Paris. Network expansion will be supported by leasing four A320s and two Boeing 787s.
