Construction set to begin on Skybridge connecting Perth Airport's T1 with central station

26 November, 2018

Western Australia's Minister of Transport Rita Saffioti announced (25-Nov-2018) construction is set to begin on a Skybridge connecting Perth Airport's terminal 1 and the airport's central station, with tunnel boring machines now clear of the main runway. The elevated and enclosed walkway stretches 280m and includes travelators and lifts, creating a connection for passengers arriving or leaving the airport by rail. The project will be delivered by Georgiou Group, working for Perth Airport, using funding provided as part of the Forrestfield-Airport Link project. Construction will be completed for when the first trains run on the Forrestfield Line. [more - original PR]
