Emirates Airline launched (15-Aug-2022) a codeshare partnership with Aegean Airlines, allowing travellers to connect to eight domestic Greek locations via Athens on a single ticket. Emirates will codeshare on Aegean-operated flights to Kerkyra, Chania, Heraklion, Mykonos, Thira, Rhodes, Thessaloniki and Alexandropoulos, while Aegean will codeshare on Emirates-operated flights between Dubai and Athens. From Oct-2022, the carriers will further expand the partnership, with Emirates set to codeshare on eight additional Aegean services operating via Athens, including Bucharest, Belgrade, and Naples, while Aegean will codeshare on Emirates' Athens-New York Newark and Milan-New York JFK services. The additional codeshare routes are subject to regulatory approval. [more - original PR]
