Emirates reported (31-Dec-2019) the following highlights for 2019:
- Handled nearly 58 million passengers;
- Added new passenger services: to Phnom Penh via Bangkok, to Porto and to Mexico City via Barcelona;
- Increased frequency and capacity to 12 destinations. Deployed A380s to Riyadh, Cairo and Muscat and on seasonal services to Boston and Amman;
- Entered new partnerships with Africa World Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Interjet, LATAM Airlines and SpiceJet. Emirates ended 2019 with 26 codeshare and 156 interline partners in 200 countries;
- Emirates and flydubai handled more than six million passengers on their joint networks since 2017;
- Placed orders for 50 A350-900s and confirmed a purchase agreement for 30 Boeing 787-9s;
- Completed the refurbishment of 10 777-200LRs;
- Opened the airline's first remote check in counters at Port Rashid;
- Introduced biometric boarding systems for departures from Dubai to the US;
- Operated 186,000 flights at an average of more than 3500 per week;
- Emirates Skywards reached 25 million members;
- Served nearly 63 million meals on flights departing Dubai;
- Handled more than 35 million items of baggage in Dubai;
