Fiji Airways chairman Rajesh Punja reported plans to deploy new Boeing 737 MAX 8 equipment on Nadi-Adelaide service, followed by services to Wellington and Sydney (South Pacific Tourism Authority, 04-Dec-2018). Mr Punja noted inclusion of new aircraft will assist the carrier in implementing more environmentally sustainable operations by reducing waste, water consumption, energy, fuel, and plastics. Four more 737 MAX 8s will join the fleet in the next 12 months, Mr Punja concluded.
