FlyEgypt CEO and MD Ahmed Tarek Talaat commented on improving market conditions in Egypt, stating: "Tourism is really starting to flow back again and, for a small company like us, it's been really amazing" (African Aerospace, 05-Apr-2018). The carrier recorded aircraft utilisation of 16 hours per day on Germany services and Mr Talaat said: "Utilisation has sky-rocketed and we've been able to get back on track with the flight development plan". The airline operates four dry leased Boeing 737-800s and expects to take delivery of one dry leased aircraft and one owned aircraft in spring 2018. Approximately 70% of the carrier's operations are charters.
