JetBlue Airways announced (14-Jul-2023) the planned next steps in the termination of its Northeast Alliance (NEA) with American Airlines as follows:
- End of reciprocal codeshare bookings: From 21-Jul-2023, JetBlue customers will no longer be able to book new codeshare reservations with American Airlines and vice versa;
- For customers with travel already booked, TrueBlue or AAdvantage member numbers must be added to the booking prior to 21-Jul-2023 to earn points and other benefits;
- Customers may accrue TrueBlue points for all codeshare tickets purchased prior to 21-Jul-2023 as long as their TrueBlue number is added to the booking prior.
