Peru seeks to recover air connectivity left unserved with LC Peru's withdrawal

Peru's Ministry of Tourism is working on re-establishing air connectivity on certain routes left unserved with the withdrawal of LC Peru and Avianca from certain markets (Gestion, 19-Sep-2019). Minister of Tourism Edgar Vasquez cited impacted destinations such as Puerto Maldonado, Huánuco and Andahuaylas. Mr Vasquez stated that the ministry has had contacts with SKY Airline and asked the carrier to "study with special attention to these niches, where carriers competed before but now have left".
