Rottnest Island receives additional USD12.2m for visitor infrastructure

Australia's Federal Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham announced (09-Apr-2019) an additional AUD17.2 million (USD12.2 million) for infrastructure upgrades at Rottnest Island. Key details include:

  • AUD12.2 million (USD8.7 million) for sustainable visitor infrastructure: Upgrades of island visitor facilities including jetties, wharves, piers, roads, sun shelters, walking trails signage and existing lighthouse and railway;
