Trip.com reports 'robust' domestic and international business recovery in 2Q2023

Trip.com reported (04-Sep-2023) its domestic and international business continued to show "robust" recovery during 2Q2023. Outbound hotel and air reservations recovered to over 60% of 2Q2019 levels, surpassing the industry wide recovery rate of 37% in terms of international air passenger volume. Air ticket bookings on the company's global online travel agency platform grew by over 120% year-on-year and nearly doubled compared to 2Q2019. Corporate travel revenue increased 178%, primarily due to a "substantial" recovery in travel. Executive chairman James Liang stated demand for both domestic and international travel remained "resilient", adding: "We remain optimistic about the enduring demand for travel and the long-term market outlook".
